Colourful, fun, creative and fast are four words, I’d use to sum up our latest client, Waka.

Waka is an original concept in food, a contemporary fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine all brought to the customer in a fast and fun format. The shape of the hummingbird within their logo represents speed and efficiency with its playful and fearless nature. So when they came to us with their brief to create a setting to serve their food we jumped at the chance. Colour, texture, passion and heritage in one unit??? – challenge accepted!

The results…. lighting is playful and rustic, and finishes raw and mixed. On one side of the eatery is dominated by a wonderful grafitti feature wall highlighting the hummingbird emblem, while the other side features a sketchbook of photographs, culture and history. Elsewhere, walls are dressed with a patchwork quilt of colours, textures, materials, and a living wall of fresh plants. Amongst all this the kitchen maintains a clean, tiled arrangement exuding professionalism, all flavoured with bright and playful, eye catching signage.

The results speak for themselves. Waka is a proven and growing success. So next time you’re in White City, London – why not pop in for a Katsu Curry.
